A description of my most-played tracks and artists, using streaming history from Spotify’s “download your data” tool. This data includes the title, artist, and timestamp of all songs played on spotify in the past year (Dec 2, 2021 - Dec 2, 2022).
To avoid counting songs that may have been accidentally played on repeat, each song is counted no more than once per day. So that a small number of favorite albums do not clutter the list, no more than two songs for each artist are counted.
To avoid overcounting artists whose albums may have been accidentally played on repeat, but preserve information about what time artists tend to be played, each song is counted no more than once per “time of day”: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night.
6:00am to noon
Noon to 5:00pm
5:00pm to 10:00pm
10:00pm to 6:00am
